Company Overview

Sharp General Trading (SGT), is an importing and exporting company based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. SGT was established in 1976. The founder of the company is Munir Ali Hassen Bashawieh. Mr Munir is a second-generation exporter. He worked with his father at Ali Hassen Bashawieh and son’s coffee export for many years before opening his own company SGT. He was Direction Manager at Ali Bashawieh & sons and has exported coffee to many countries since. When SGT was founded, the company was only importing and exporting spices, however now it has expanded to importing and exporting other products including machinery.

SGT is a quality oriented sole proprietorship. We have successfully established our brand loyalty as a distinguished organization through delivering premium quality products, timely service and cost effectiveness. We export local coffee, spices, oil seeds, pulses and beans. We import elevators, machineries, paper, ink, and chemical for our local customers.  We are the sole agents for Fuji film, Imperial Ink, and White Elephant, G. Loong, Meyer and Maosheng. Our company headquarter is in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. We have warehouses located in Gofa, Kera, Foori and Alemgena.
